Somersfield Academy

Devonshire, Bermuda

In 2019, Somersfield Academy in Bermuda expanded with a new IB center, designed to support future growth. This multi-level building, a study in contemporary Bermuda architecture and interior design, prioritizes flexible learning spaces. The ground floor features an open area for arts and assemblies, while upper levels offer a mixed-use common area and scalable classrooms, divided by retractable partitions. A deep, wrapping veranda provides shade and frames southern campus views, fostering social interaction. This design integrates functionality with aesthetic appeal, aligning with the school's long-term development plans.
